3 Key Updates to Confident Competence

Introduction

At Confident Competence, we are committed to continuously improving our platform so that Health and Social Care Providers can streamline processes, reduce administrative pressure, and maintain accurate, real-time competency insights.

Our latest system updates focus on giving your Organisation greater flexibility, a smoother offline experience, and smarter handling of User data—ensuring your teams stay confident and compliant, wherever they are.

What's New in the Platform?

1. Customisable Validity Period Settings

Keeping competency requirements up to date is essential, and we know every Organisation has different expectations around review periods. That’s why we have introduced new, customisable validity settings designed to offer more control and adaptability.

A customisable validity period can be set to 3, 6, or 12 months, with the option to override this for one-off additional competency requirements.

Whether you operate a large multi-site service or a smaller provider with varied staffing needs, this flexibility ensures competencies remain aligned with your internal policies, training cycles, and regulatory expectations.

2. Offline Capability Assessments

We understand that care settings don’t always allow for a stable internet connection. Teams need a system that works reliably—no matter where they are or what the environment looks like.

Offline Capability Assessments can be completed within the app without an internet connection. Once the device reconnects to Wi-Fi, all data will automatically sync to the system.

This enhancement supports seamless assessment completion and prevents data loss. It’s especially beneficial for teams working on the move, such as Domiciliary Care Services, where timely and accurate record-keeping is essential to high-quality care.

3. Smarter Handling of User Data

Managing staff changes is a normal part of any Organisation, but it shouldn’t create unnecessary admin. Our new User data handling process makes transitions faster and more efficient.

When a User is removed, their competencies can be saved as PDFs on file and any outstanding competencies can automatically be reassigned to a new Assessor to be completed.

This ensures continuity, reduces delays in workforce development, and keeps competency records safe, organised, and accessible.

Raising Care Standards

Our latest system updates reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting Organisations in tracking and measuring competency across their workforce.

With tested and proven technology designed to streamline your operations, it has never been simpler to maintain inspection readiness and support the delivery of high-quality care.
